we cross the pond for brunch in lovely londontown. we’re going to have dinner at the very charming Sloane Street Deli in upscale Belgravia. with a modern mix of curved wooden cafe chairs, green tiles and a muted color palette, this is the place to spend a quiet Sunday morning. we’ll be sure to blend in with the ensemble I’ve chosen for us, they don’t want to get too flashy in merry old England. an oversized blazer , slim-fitting chinos and a touch of red with a chic menswear-inspired button-down . paired with a killer flats an incognito bucket hat, sunglasses and a red lip, we are ready to go. over the last coffee, i recommend reading hotel du lac by anita brooker. it tells the story of edith hope, who writes novels under a pseudonym, but when her life begins to resemble the plots of her own novels, edith flees to switzerland, where the quiet luxury of the hotel du lac promises to bring her to her senses but instead attracts the attention of a worldly man determined to let go of her untapped capacity for mischief and pleasure. I loved it!
